Green screen in play start of RTSP live stream in 1.1.0

Postby NeoSyRenity » 06 Jul 2010 17:45

Hi.

VLC 1.1.0, when starting reading from RTSP, no longer skips regular frames until the first key-frame. This results in VLC showing green screen until the first key-frame has arrived.
While VLC displays the usual message "First frame is not a key-frame", it starts playing the frames immediately which causes the green screen.

The previous versions, while presenting this message, simply waited and started the playback only after the first key-frame arrived.

Is there any option controlling this change, which can force VLC to wait for the first key-frame as it did in the past?

Regards.

The message appears right in pre-roll process, which seems no longer to wait for key-frame before starting playing:

27 warning[02149a8c] main input debug: Buffering 0%
28 : first frame is no keyframe
29 [00e68fd4] main decoder debug: End of video preroll
