How can I have a separate window for my playlist ?

For questions and discussion that is NOT (I repeat NOT) specific to a certain Operating System.

How can I have a separate window for my playlist ?

Postby mpierre » 25 Jun 2010 12:37

I have been displaying my videos using VLC on a dedicated monitor which is used as a a TV, in full screen, with minimal interface for a few years now.

I actually control my VLC using the playlist in another monitor, allowing me to queue videos without disrupting the playback.

I was happy to download VLC 1.1.0 Luggage. It works great, notably on MKV playback, but it doesn't appear to be possible to have a playlist working as a separate Window, and a such, when I modify my playlist, I lose the video display !

I am running Windows 7 64-bits.

Menu "View" then untick "Docked Playlist".
