Video series with separate Opening/Closing files.

Postby JackBassV » 23 Jun 2010 15:12

I have a few series (all mkv with with h264) where for space saving, the group has moved the Opening and Ending credits to separate files..

The most common name format is along the lines of: SeriesName_01.mkv (etc), SeriesName_ED.mkv, SeriesName_OP.mkv.

MediaplayerClassic 64 plays these fine. Even VLC will play some (it will ignore the opening and closing files.) The problem occurs when the Opening and Closing credits aren't at the start/finish of the episode. VLC plays up to where the credits should start, but instead of playing the opening, it loops back to the start and plays the file again; only this time without sound.

Can we please have the ability to play these files added, or at least the option to ignore them. Lets face it, I tend to skip the credits anyway. I bet you do too.

Yes.

As I said, some ignore the open/close, which is fine with me, but some just have major problems.

If you need a torrent for an example file, I can post one for you.
