Subs fat and blurred on Vobs on my Hard disk, Not on DVD

Postby stu » 18 Jun 2010 02:10

Hello,
I archived a DVD film into VOB format. I usually watch archived movies with VLC by opening the first .IFO file with VLC. On the film in question here the subtitles are grey in color and the font is so thick that they blur making them very difficult to read. This is not the case with the subtitles when I watch the film from the DVD with VLC: Open Source, Disk, DVD, Device Name/dev/rdisk2.

I have sought to no avail to change the subtitle font from within VLC (Preferences, Subtitles and OSD). I can only assume is for creating you own subs or something.

Can I change the font of the subtitles w/ VLC? Any other ideas? Thank you for any help.
