My problems with the RC

Postby blizzarac » 03 Jun 2010 11:32

I've installed the RC and had some inconveniences (Windows 7 64bit):

-If you watch in "normal mode" and set the window to "always on top", then switch to full screen, the window doesn't hide like it used to in the previous version.
(Edit: also described here viewtopic.php?f=34&t=77209)

-I've turned on codec support and tried to watch a quick time file but had no sound. So I had to go to the options and turn it off, after that the video played with sound. There should be a context menu to fast switch between codec support and native mode.

- On my laptop I've always used Fn+f3|Fn+f4 to adjust the windows sound level and Ctrl+UP|Ctrl+DOWN for the vlc sound level. This workes different now, the Fn keys are adjusting the vlc sound and there is no way to set the global sound level.
(Edit:Just noticed, this doesn't happen in full screen mode. There the global volume is adjusted)

I use VLC everyday so I feel very strongly about usability issues

I don't understand the "codec support" part
