Bookmarking MP3 saves the wrong time (XP)

Postby jjvlc » 27 May 2010 03:20

Listenting to a 55 minute instructional mp3.

The first bookmark saves correctly at the time elapsed in the MP3 when I click Create, in this case 34:59. But then I backed up to an earlier point in the mp3, and when I tried to create a second bookmark at 02:49, the bookmark indexed it as 3:16. I could not get it to index the correct time. I then have to manually change the time index on the bookmark.

Is this a known issue? Can I provide any more info to help?

I'm just getting to know this quirky (Eg, I had to search forum to find CTRL-Del to remove mult files from media lib!) yet very very cool product. (I am desperate to eliminate iTunes from my life).

Bookmarks have some quirks. Specially if file timecodes have some problems.

No prob, I just fix it, then do a print screen before closing the file for future reference. It would be *extremely* powerful for presentation purposes, if you could save the bookmarks with the aud/vid file. Is that in the plans?

Yep, but it won't happen anytime soon.
