Converting FLV To MP4

I am needing help converting a video from flash to MP4 , when I do this on my own I get a file that won't open in quicktime ( im using a mac) it says video has an invalid sample description, or I get a file that has audio only and no video. What do I need to do? I have tried this many many times and Ive searched the web finally I broke down and decided to ask on the forums. I need the video to be in Mp4 format or mov format so I can import it into final cut pro.

Here is a solution to your problem that may be the conversion is not perfect so it doesnt plays both audio and video or comapatibility problem with the player.Check that out surely you will get the solution.

With a firefox extension, ant player.

You need to either remux the MP4 file or to use the ffmpeg muxer. Check this thread for more informations:
