MPEG2 STB that works with VLC

Postby krytpon » 01 Mar 2005 06:58

Hi,

I want to buy a STB that I can stream my MPEGs (MPEG2) on the PC to and play on the TV. Could not find a better server than VLC, now the question is which STB is best. Opinion from experienced users please.

AMINO STB looks good. But one post here says it can only do multicast so far and UDP unicast does not work.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

That's fully wrong !

I own an AMINET103 and i can confirm you that both UNICAST and MULTICAST stream can be played on it.
You just need to set this url to udp://your aminobox ip adress:port set by vlc for UNICAST.

It works for me.
