Transparent Controls in Full-screen

Postby favl » 09 May 2010 17:14

Hello,
I'm looking for transparent controls in full-screen mode (like in quicktime, see here).
Couldn't find any option in the settings so far, do I need a skin for that?

If so can you recommend a not so fancy skin with transparent controls in full-screen (ideally the base skin with transparent controls).

TIA

It is not currently supported in the VLC skin editor.

The VLC skins engine doesn't support alpha transparency for images. It would consume too much "CPU load".

The only way for you to do that is to create your background image with lots of dark grey points/pixels separated by an empty pixel.
This will create the illusion of a dark background. Some pixels will be filled by color and the next one (on its right and its left) empy. Just like a grid.

What do you mean by "for images"?
I want to have the controls transparent, like this:

Skins are made up of images, also the controls are images.
