Can I use VLC media player to play H.264 from RTP stream?

If so, how do I set it up?

Trying to receive a multicast from a H.264 encoder on an embedded board running InterNiche NicheStack and RTP stack. Using Wireshark, it looks like the packets are good and are arriving at the PC as expected.

I tried using payload type 96 but VLC doesn't seem to understand this and i think is defaulting to type 0. There is some activity in the "Buff:" status. Does that mean VLC is receiving data? The Statistics pane in Media information shows an incrementing count for "Demuxed" and "Stream bitrate".
