Album Art looking weird

Postby -g- » 02 May 2010 21:16

OK, this might be a minor issue, but it seems that some album art that used to show fine in 1.0.5 is having some weird look in 1.1.0-pre3. Here's an example.

VLC 1.0.5:

Could you file a bug and share the artwork ?
Is it embedded?

Yes, it's embedded art.

I'll check the details to file a bug.

[EDIT:] OK, never mind. I just thought that the art was embedded 'cause I didn't know where VLC was storing it. I found it at C:\Documents and Settings\user\Datos de programa\vlc\art\artistalbum\Katy Perry\I Kissed A Girl - Single\art.jpg.

So it's most likely not a bug at all, just a different thumbnail generation method between 1.0.5 and 1.1.0, I guess.

Yeah, but that should look as bad as it is now... Do they have exactly the same size when scaled?

Yes, as far as I can tell, both thumbnails are the same size.
