2 Questions I need help with Please.

Hi.

I'm new to VLC, and must admit I'm very impressed with it.

I have looked around on the forums but can't find any answers to the following.

1) I am trying to re-assign a couple of keys. I wanted to use the spacebar to slow play fine, but when I assign it it makes no difference, despite setting the "Set" key.

2) I have looked around and found the answer on another forum to make VLC repeat / loop, and I have altered the text with notepad in the VLCVRC file, and saved it, but again each time a clip ends it just stops instead of starting again.

Any help at all with these two questions would be very welcome.

PS I have tried using this that I found after googling >

vlc folder, with a text editor. Look for '# Repeat all (boolean) #loop=0 # Repeat current item (boolean) #repeat=0' inside that file. Change the 0s to 1s & remove the #s and, after doing that, make vlcrc read-only. Then, everytime you open up a multimedia file, the player will loop the multimedia file by default

But the player just plays a clip once then stops again.

1. Restart VLC. Hotkey changes only apply after restart.

What about the repeat query. It just stops each time after playing the track once instead of looping.
