sub anomalies

Postby [HUN]bastya_elvtars » 13 Jan 2004 20:12

hi
i started videos with srt and txt subs and the subtitles are desynchronised (other sftwares play normally) and some frames dont appear.
There were 2 videos: an xvid and a divx (OS: WIN XP SP1)
What to do???
Anyway, congrat to the new version, it is cool, cause it is not a resource hog (it never was) and its MUCH more user friendly. Keep up the good work, developers! This software is in my top10!!!!
Another question: can i set the vertical positions in subtitles?(e.g. it should be downer than it actually is, cause its in the picture, not the blackness or whatever - sorry im not a big expert in videos :( )

I'm not sure about the desync with your subs that could be a thousand things. Probably you need to specify a differtent framerate for the subs though.

And you can only place subtitles in the video. the black bars that are added in fullscreen, are not true video, and vlc cannot render subtitles in it.
Don't use PMs for support questions.

well
bsplayer and wmplayer combined with vobsub does the job, but they suck. I wanna use vlc for video playing - and i dont exactly understand what u mean. Thanx anyway!
