hide from taskbar in systray

hello, i'm using VLC 1.0.3
i like systray icon has been introduced, but i dont see nowhere option to
hide from taskbar into systemtray, (so it only residents in system tray)

rightclick on systray and "hide in taskbar" only minimises back to taskbar (if active), or restores (if minimised)
and single click on same icon does the same

OS: WinXP Pro SP3

anything in some options there is to set for this ?

Does it work for you with 1.0.2 or 1.0.5rc? I never had any issues with it in XP Home SP3.

Hello,

I wish to minimize VLC to the systray. If I click onto "Minimize VLC media player to task bar" (or as it is called in English) VLC minimizes as expected, but the program doesn't remember this setting: When I minimize VLC again later, it just minimizes to the task bar.
In my opinion, one great - if not the principal - advantage of systray icons is, that I need less space on the task bar. If I use the systray icon, VLC should no more minimize to the task bar (unless specifically desired).
