Unable to Play DVD's with correct sound

I have noticed that on several DVD's I have rented, the sounds of peoples voices will not appear. An example of this is "A Serious Man" and "The Collector."

On both DVD's, I have adjusted several audio tracks. The default is always on Track 1 English. Sometimes there is a Track 2 English which is commentary, however none of the tracks allow me to hear peoples voices. What I can hear and only hear is the background noises such as a door shutting or something to that effect. When played on WMP, it works fine.

Set the audio output to stereo.
