Can VLC fix A/V out-of-sync

Postby SubMetroGnome » 29 Jan 2010 18:44

Hi

I just moved to Mac OS X.
I record VHS to computer (MPEG-2), then authour it to DVDs.
Most of the time, the MPEG's video and audio are not in-sync.
I need a utility that can fix that.
Can VLC do this, and if not, can someone suggest a utility that will?

(Suggestions other than Windows-apps-on-WINE, please.)

Thanks for any help.

Does VLC using the hotkeys for audio-delay work for you?

I wasn't aware of a hotkey for adjusting tempo. I've rechecked the hotkey list and don't see it. 'audio-delay' doesn't appear in my help files either.
How is this used?

Thanks

Open the equalizer and effects dialog (by clicking on the button with the faders on it) and go to the synchronization tab. There you should find what you need.
