Hello!

I have a problem, I use VLC to stream video files to my AMINO IP TV STB, the picture is clear and everything is ok. Only problem is i dont see subtitles on my TV. Why? Can someone help me ?

if you want to see the subtitles on the Amino, you have to blend those in the image on the streaming server (i don't think Amino knows what subtitles are). This is possible using the "soverlay" option in #transcode. More info in the streaming howto, chapter 3 :)

Note that this can be quit cpu intensive

Hi

I am considering getting a AMINO. What type of files are you able to stream to it (MPEG2-TS,/MPEG2-PS/MPEG1)? Do you use multicast or unicast?

I have an AMINET110, it is capable of playing mpeg-1 and mpeg-2, and nothing more.
aminet120 however is said to be able to play wmv9 and mpeg-4, however it is not commercially available yet.
