Why isn't VLC Player in my "Open With" choices>

Postby J Tinsby » 20 Feb 2010 02:26

Hello,

Running XP Pro here SP3. I'd like to have VLC player show up in my " Open With" folder when I click on certain files. It's not even there as a choice but when I drop and drag the file I want to play to the VLC icon it plays fine. Is it supposed to be this way? I know that Nero Showtime hijacked a lot of file associations and I can't even change them if I go to "Folder Options"

What to do other than un install Nero?

Regards and thanks, :D

If you reinstall VLC you can set the file associations again. Also reinstalling might help with the "Open With" choices too.
