VLC API to get quality statistics?

Hi all,

I'm curious to know if there is a possibility to get some video quality statistics from any VLC API?
I want to do video streaming application. It would be great if I can get some statistics like
bitrate, framerate, delay or some other quality parameters (i.e. utility, QoS).

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
