i cant use skin2. vlc crashed. i use windows 98

what is the problem?

Giving details does not seem to be your strongest quality

What did you do exactly to get the crash? (i.e. how did you activate the skins?)
Does the crash happen when launching the skins interface, or the interface starts correctly but crashes later on when doing something particular (if so, what?)?
Does the wxwindows interface work fine? If so, try starting vlc with the following command: 'vlc -vvv -I wx --extraintf logger", then switch to the skins interface using the menu. After the crash, get the generated 'vlc-log.txt' file, and post it here (or put it somewhere on the web so that we can have a look).

Looking at the logs, the skins is correctly loaded, you even played a mp3.
So at what moment does it crash exactly?

i can see the new skin and after 5-10 sec. vlc crash whatever i do.

And does it happen with the default skin too (OSX like), or only after changing it?

Could you try the nightly builds too? If they don't solve your problem, i could build you a debug version to have more useful information...

after the change (skin2) it happens if i wann play a song or change the settings.
i do not have problem with the th wxwindows skin. i works fine without problems!

what is the nightly bulids. what is the difference to the normal version?
i will try it in the following days.
