Whenever I pop in a DVD and my autorun comes up, selecting VLC as my player will only result in an error.
File reading failed:
VLC could not open the file "dvd:D:\".
Your input can't be opened:
VLC is unable to open the MRL 'dvd:D:\'. Check the log for details.
I have to manually go to the Video_TS folder, right click, and then select the play with VLC option which is highly annoying. Any way around this?
Your autoplay option is wrong. It should be something like dvd://D:\
Hi.
I have the exact same problem, however, i see that you have posted a possible solution, but i have absolutely no idea where i can change my autoplay option as you mentioned. Where do i go about changing this to the correct syntax?
Hey. This seem to be on right track, but im on a vista computer, and the folder options shown in the pic doesnt seem to exist in the folder options on vista. Could you point me to the correct registry path?
Open regedit (start -> run -> regedit)
Find the correct location (Edit -> Find... if the manual navigation is too hard)
and edit the value so it will look like vlc.exe" --started-from-file dvd://%1
