how to get VLC in english?

I have downloaded VLC but get it in spanish when I install it, even after teling I want it in spanish (I am in Spain). With all the help in english, I need to have the same settings as explained in english. The spanish translation does not seem to be that good for unexperienced people.

In VLC go to:
Tools >> Preferences

At the top of the "Interface" section there should be a "Language" drop-down box (the default is "Auto"). Select "American English" (or "British English"), press "Save" and restart VLC.
