Postby compunett » 22 Feb 2005 23:11

Got a dvd clip that output no sound at all on my ibook, while it plays fine with vlc on winxp.

By the way your player rocks guys.
For now I'm studying computer science, but you are gurus guys, yet I don't match your code.

I heard your next version is gonna be good, right after i'll go and test your nightly build :p

lpcm playback is broken in 0.8.1 release, but fixed in the current development source (as you probably noticed already), so get a recent nightly build and enjoy your movie!

Yeah, too bad that this fix makes VLC crash after a certain amount of time :(

If we cannot find the cause for that we might still have to revert to the old style were we simply did not support some types of LPCM
Don't use PMs for support questions.

Yeah I saw the huge progress, I hope you can fix the thing in time for the next version.
Well anyway there's a new start, so maybe it will be possible to fix it /anytime/ .
I saw your todo list, there's some big stuff ;)
good luck

for now i'll to dive in my own school project, I hope i'll have time to dive in vlc too, at least to learn.
