Web interface problem

Web interface problem

I just set up the web interface and tested it on this computer. This is the computer I run VLC on. I tried connecting to it from another computer and got a 403 forbidden error and looked into that. I see on the wiki it says to edit the .hosts file, which I have. My entire .hosts file is as follows:

As you can see I have not only added an IP Address to the list, but I have granted access to all IPs. My problem still persists however. Even with the .hosts file as it is, I can only connect to the web interface from the computer running VLC. Does anybody know why?

You need to restart the HTTP interface.

I have. Many times in fact, but I just installed VLC on my ubuntu server and was adding individual IPs to the list all starting with 192.168 so i figured I would get rid of those and just insert 192.168.0.0/0 instead. My web interface now works on every computer in the house on both my server and laptop.

You need to restart the HTTP interface.

restarting is not working, i have restarted already 4 times its just not working.

Restarting is work. I have restarted it one time and it is just working. Very constructive discussion we can have.

My best guess is that you're not modifying the correct file.
