Mobile phone as wifi headphones

Postby rwphwp » 19 Jan 2010 03:31

I'd like to use my G1 as a set of wifi headphones to listen to the audio stream only while watching video files on my media pc (in order not to disturb my wife while she's reading). I've searched the forums, but haven't found a solution. Can anyone help?

Well, you could stream the audio but render the video locally. But they would not be synched properly.

Like Rémi said... You can do it, but there will be a delay between audio and video. The audio will be few secs behind the video (depending on your pc).
But the good news is you can fix this with a little effort. You can put a delay on the video being played locally. You just have to get the timing right.
I cant check the settings right now(i'm at work), so i cant give you exact instructions. Just go to options, click advanced and see if you can find it. (Maybe under Video options)
