I just changed the screen resolution for my monitor from 1024X768 to 1280X1024, and now VLC doesn't display video anymore, though the sound still works. It works again when I change the resolution back. Is there anyway to use VLC with the higher resolution?

Probably your graphicscard doesn't have enough memory to support Overlay video in such a high resolution. As an alternative you can go to your displays options and select fewer colors for display.

I tried reducing the colors displayed and it worked. Thanks.
