Selectively hide Status and/or Menu bar

Selectively hide Status and/or Menu bar

Postby Tarantin » 04 Jan 2010 23:50

Actually, in window mode we have the choice to hide everything and display only the video.

But is this possible to hide the menu bar and/or the status bar, without hiding the main toolbar for example?

And option would be greatly apreciated.

Thanks

No, it isn't possible now.

I also came on here to request this feature -- hiding the menu and status bars.

I've arranged my "Time Bar" such that all the information displayed on the status bar is displayed there, rendering the status bar redundant. Likewise, all the menus I require are accessible via the right-click context menu, so I don't need the menu bar either. Hiding the menu and status bars would help achieve a more streamlined, minimalist look.

Hopefully this will be possible in a future release.

Also along the same lines, if it is possible, could the title/caption bar be hidden as well?

Thank you for considering my request.

You can hide both but not one selectively

It is possible to hide the menu, status, and caption bars?

Where? I cannot find this option under Tools, Preferences or under View, Customize Interface. Is there another place I should look?
