Postby prashanthnaidugali » 31 Dec 2009 10:06

Hi,

Can any one let me know the procedure how to install vlc version 0.8.6c for a fedoracore 6 pc.

when i followed the steps mentioned below:

Use RPM - LIVNA for F6 (available for x86, x86_64 and ppc)
Install livna-release-6.rpm for F6

$> su -
#> rpm -ivh http://rpm.livna.org/livna-release-6.rpm
#> yum install vlc
#> yum install python-vlc mozilla-vlc (optionnal)

I have installed livna-release-6.rpm on to my PC downloading from rpm.livna.org

yum install vlc not working i feel some packages are missing!!!!!!

Please let me know how to install

thanks in advance

We are not supporting ancient VLC version (and i Guess Fedora is not supporting acient version either)

So please use recent version i.e. VLC 1.0.x and FC11 or FC12
