Dual-Mono sound like mono

Postby statquo112 » 03 Jan 2010 10:43

For some reason whenever i play dual-mono mp3s with VLC my tracks sound like it's been encoded in one channel (mono)

but when i play it with WMP it correctly plays the tracks with stereo and i'm really sure it's not because of the spatialization effects because the dual-mono mp3s are encoded with stereo as far as i know.

are there any settings to make vlc mix dual-mono channels as stereo?

Two audio tracks are two audio tracks. If you want to render stereo, use a single stereo track.

You can tell VLC to render and mix ann tracks, but that would be mixed mono anyway, not stereo.
