... you may consider bundling Duke Nukem Forever with the next release of VLC.

There have been 23 tickets the last 3 days, most of them unassigned.

Did you understand what the meaning of 1.0.x maintenance target mean? Obviously not.

Hooray! 1 bug down, 22 more to go! (still no news from 1.1)

Ok, I understand VLC is free software, but what's the point of slapping a "3 weeks" release date, when you know there is no chance in hell for the release to be ready by that date. There are people planning their computing (maintance, formating etc) in accordance to when the new versions of their most used apps are rolling out

Trac sorts releases by planned date. If we did not put a date on 1.0, it would fall to the bottom of the page. But anyway, we don't need to fix ALL bugs to make a new maintainance release. And I still haven't seen your 22 proposed patches on vlc-devel.
