Postby Isabel » 21 Dec 2009 01:18

Hello, first excuse my English...

I have to do a homework about free software project, and i´m doing about Video Lan Project, I need some information that can not find...
I guess that's my English. :?

I need to know how is the VideoLan developing Organizational Estructure.

Who or how makes all decision? (This is important)
Is a meritocracy system?
There are privileged users?
How to become a privileged user? Is it posible? See if you get involved as much?

another question..

Where can I find the results of VLC and VLS sloccount?

I hope you can help me.

Thank you.

VideoLAN is a non profit organisation that helps funding some VideoLAN projects, like VLC.
VideoLAN decisions are done in a democracy-like way.

VLC decisions are done by a kind of consensus, but mostly by meritocracy: The one who do the code have the power.
How to get in? Send patches.
