J-B:

Where may I obtain VLC 1.1-git?
The VideoLAN homepage shows 1.03 as the latest version.

Merci bien,
Dan

I'm running Vista 64 bit - is there a different build I should be using and do you know if my problem is a known issue?
I'm not keen to install a beta unless there's hope to correct my issue.

There aren't any public x64 builds for Windows.

I'll leave this as an open issue.
You have my log so I'll await a fix unless there is something I should do differently.
Thanks,
Dan
