VLC 1.0.3 Swscale kills video output

Postby Alexsource » 06 Dec 2009 21:10

Tryed to use swscale to see how it looked like, and it doesn't seem to work. There's just no video output. I've tryed several video output modules (directx, direct3d opengl and windows GDI), and they all work UNTIL I enable the filter. Then, a big nothing, not even a black frame. Just the audio plays.

This is what the message windows with verbosity set to 2 has to say on the matter:

Yes, swscale will be loaded by himself, if you deactivate overlay, not when you force it.

Ahh! Silly me. Thx for the fast answer. I'll tinker around with this when I'm back home tonight.

I've tryed bilinear, fast bilinear and bicubic with one slightly fuzzy video. I couldn't really tell one mode from the other, probably because i chose a slightly fuzzy video, but there was some screen tearing. Any way to cope with that?

Tearing is known issue of 1.0.3
