Version 1.0.3 and .asf

Postby Viper5 » 03 Nov 2009 03:52

I just updated my vlc to the latest 1.0.3 and I am noticing problems which were not there previously. I'm not sure what version I had before I updated, but now when I play certain .asf files, there will be a constant squeeking sound which will happen in bursts of only a millisecond but it is easily noticeable and highly annoying. Has anyone else been experiencing this type of problem with the newer version?

You should notice that by playing in another player such as WMP, it will work fine. Please let me know what you think.

Does your Tools -> Messages... (set Verbosity to 2) complain something when issues happen?

it says

"main warning; resampling stopped after 19293213 usec (drift: -2881)"
Are you not able to download the sample? There should be a link at the bottom that says "click here" to allow you to view the file.

Are you not able to download the sample?
Yes, but I also have to verify that you get exactly same issues.
