VLC can play FLV files but not SWF.

hi,Lotesdelere is right, vcl doesn't swf files, if you want to play flash animation in vcl, you should change its format to flv,vcl supports. Maybe you can google swf to flv converter, many options are available, I remember iwisoft swf to flv converteris good to use, maybe you can have a try, good luck.
