Normal/Repeat/Loop hotkey OSD?

In VLC 1.0.2, why does the Normal/Repeat/Loop toggle key (by default 'l') lack an OSD when pressed?
Is the lack of an OSD a missing feature or a bug?
Since it's a 3-way toggle, it would make sense to know which state is activated and most if not all other hotkeys that I can recall have OSD...

Don't know, I just mentioned the version number in case earlier versions did have it and this was a bug

But either way, a bug or not, I don't see a reason why the Repeat option should lack an OSD given that without it it's impossible to tell what you have switched to, defeating the purpose of having a hotkey in first place. Other hotkeys like mute, play/pause, etc, have OSD even though their actions are self-evident...
