Problems while compiling 1.0.2

I downloaded latest 1.0.2 files from http://download.videolan.org/pub/vlc/latest/
vlc-1.0.2.tar.bz2
contribs-1.0.2-gcc-4.2.1-sjlj-runtime-3.15.2-only.tar.bz2

After configuring and running make i get the following error.

I am running msys/mingw.
Can anyone tell me what is going wrong?

--disable-fluidsynth should get around that. I don't why that happens.

Because older contribs used fluidsynth as a shared lib.
