Few questions

Postby rmanal » 23 Sep 2009 16:22

Hello,

I just discover VLC and I find this is a very good software.
I'm trying its functionnalities and I have the following questions:
1/ I have a video mp4 stream with a different size for the "resolution (640*480)" and "display resolution (320*240)" informations. So VLC uses the "display resolution" parameter: how to make it used or resize the video?

2/ In the "Read & codecs" tab options, I can select to use the system codec instead of VLC one: how it is functionning? Are we talking about Windows video and audio codec (WVF and ACM) or about directshow filter?

Thank you for your help
Rmanal

1. Remux the file with MP4box.

2. Quicktime and DMO mostly (so NO DirectShow or VfW support).
