Subtitles on Black Bars

Postby dagrudge » 21 Sep 2009 13:24

Hello guys.
I have some hd h264 files with separate .srt files. I can load them well, everything works.
The problem is that I can´t force the subs to go to the blacl bars, instead of being on the movie itself. Forced subtitle doesnt work for me.

Any help?

Thank you

Unfortunately this is how VLC works for now.
To cut a long story short the subtitles are added at an early srage of the making of the final image which is making them dependant of the original video size and also, sometimes, blurry and/or pixelated. They are a part of the image.

This is a major mistake made ages ago in the core of VLC. Hopefully this should be fixed in future version 1.1.0, at least I've heard rumours saying that it will be. Fingers crossed.

OMG please fix it. VLC has the best quality video but subtitles ruin watching movies.
