Seg fault using dvd menu or playing multiple items

Hi,
I am having problems with vlc crashing. I have tried removing the vlc config. I can play dvd's in other players (totem, etc).

o/s: Ubuntu 9.04.
I am using vlc version....

As soon as I click on a dvd menu, I get....

Also, if I vlc multple files, at the end of the first, I get,

Reset your plugins cache (~/.cache/vlc)

if not better, install the vlc-dbg package and produce a backtrace with gdb.
