Regression from 0.9.9 to 1.0.0 playing streamed avi

Hi, and thanks for a great project. For years I have streamed my VDR channels through streamdev and externremux to VLC without any problems. I use mencoder and x264 with avi output and every vlc version up to 0.9.9 has been able to play it. Now I have tried 1.0.0 and 1.0.1 and it doesn't like the avi at all and guesses it's an mpeg-ps instead. Going back to 0.9.9 solves the issue. Downloading some of the stream to a file and playing it in 1.0.1 works just fine so the problem seems to be when it's not seekable.

I cannot help you, but thank you for this post.
Because yesterday I tried some hours to get it work with 1.01.
I had the same erros like you.
So I thought, something with externremux script is wrong.
But with 0.99 it works fine!

This regression was fixed in version 1.0.2.
