I have an ip camera that is sending out a multicast mpg4 video stream through rtp. I know the multicast IP address and port number, but using the vlc GUI I am not able to figure out how to connect to the group to receive the stream. As far as I know I need an IGMP enabled switch for this to work (which I have) but I have tried it with and without the IGMP switch. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. I can provide any more information that might help.
If this is the wrong place for this question, let me know. I saw a couple of other forums that seemed like they might be relevant, but in the end though this would be the most specific. Thanks.
