Problems running H.264 on VLC 1.01

Postby avisart » 30 Jul 2009 09:51

Hi,

I upgraded my VLC version from v0.8 to v1.01 and now it doesn't run h.264 files. Any idea what should I do.

Thanks,
Avi

Rename your .h264 files to .264

Hi,

Can you explain what exactly I should do in order to take a log?
I should remove the installation and then open a message window, what is a message window?
Should I do anything else?

I removed version 1.0.1 and installed version 0.9.9 however the VLC is sill not playing the file.
I took the log file (level 2) - just so it will be clear when I tried to run this file with version 0.8 that I had before it worked.

I had to go back to version 0.9.8a this seems to be the last version that runs .264 files.

Can any one help on this issue, is this a configuration issue or areal bug?

Thanks

Iis this a configuration issue or areal bug?
It's a regression.
See ticket #2617.

Unfortunately I'm afraid it's going to take ages to be fixed since the status of this ticket has been changed from 1.0.0-release to Bugs paradize.
