Simple scoreboard with logo/marquee

Postby Xenon5414 » 26 Jul 2009 16:21

I have some video of football matches that I would like to overlay a simple scoreboard on top of. The scoreboard itself is a PNG, with space for the current minute and score to be inserted via marquee. The only problem is that I can't get the marquee to move outside of pre-determined "top/bottom/left/right" areas. So, basically, I need a way for the marquee to line up with the scoreboard PNG. Thanks in advance.

VLC filters cannot print outside the main video. This is a well-known but long-standing limitation of the video architecture in the VLC core, if that's what you mean.

No, that's not quite what I mean. Just as a test (it isn't finished yet), I've managed to get this far -> http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/386/screenshotjbi.png. But I want it to move to a different location, centreing on where the ITV4 bug is. I can get the scoreboard to do that, but not the text. How can I move the text?
