Set Video mode to Open GL?

In my Startmenu where in my programs-list it used to say VLC-player it now says Set Video mode to Open GL

What does this mean and did I or do I need to change anything?

It changes default video output module to OpenGL one. If the videos show up correctly, there is no need to change it.
