NO Auto Start DVD

Postby Spanaway01 » 20 Jul 2009 07:15

Installed new version, all file associations, but the app will not start a DVD movie. I have checked properties for VOB and association is for VLC. If I open the disc via VLC it plays fine.

Suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

I understand your answer. If I insert a DVD is VLC designed to automatically start the movie? Or do I have to open the folder each time even though VOB files are associated with VLC? MP3 are associated with VLC and the discs don't autostart either.

Disc auto starting is different from file type associations. When you insert DVD to drive, Windows should ask you what you want to do. One of those options should be play with VLC.
