So you want to cut small part from the video as new file?

Yes, I think so. I'm looking for a solution for the same problem. In the previous versions, there was an 'extract' button in the bookmarks menu but now it's gone and I have not figured out how to partially extract videos/audios from the original file.

You have to use command-line as there isn't GUI elements for it anymore (Wizard is gone). But it might be easier to cut video using tool like AVIdemux.
