Finding DVD title duration from commandline?

Hello, I'm working on a personal project and I'm trying to script VLC to rip the longest title of a DVD. (The theory being that the longest title is the feature the majority of the time.) So far I've having no luck finding a way of figuring out DVD title durations using VLC's commandline interface.

Is this possible? Thanks.
