Direct Show Input

Hello
I am trying to use the new option added to the VLC however I can't get it work I have a DVB card (SS2) wich suport DirectShow, I have found the SS2 input in Direct show (device name etc ... ) but I can use these entries in VLC (MRL), do I need to make a GRAPH ?
Any help will be full welcome ....

Support for the SS2 will likely not work (yet) because I dont' have access to such hardware.

But if you are willing to help me by doing some testing, we could hopefully have it working soon :)

First, could you open the "Messages..." window in VLC then try to open your DShow input by selecting your card in the list of video devices (Try also the "Default" choice) then post the full log messages here.

And no, setting up a GRAPH won't help as VLC doesn't use GRAPHs.

Creative Labs Digital VCR - DirectShow Commands

Hi,

I am trying to display the video form a Creative LAbs Digital VCR card using the DirectShow Interface.

VLC will display a black window after choosing the VBDVCR device in the DirectShow selection.

Are there any details documented about using the DirectShow interface? I will post logs later today ...
