Streaming/Transcoding failed : it seems your FFMPEG....

Postby sitichul » 10 Jun 2009 04:54

I have install VLC 1.0.0-rc3 in windows xp. When I have try to streaming / transcoding file using "video- Dirac + AAC (TS)", there is an error
Streaming / Transcoding failed :
It seems your FFMPEG (libavcodec) installation lacks the following encoder: Dirac. If you don't know how to fix this, ask for support from your distribution.
How can i fix this? can anybody help me? thanks for ur help :)

There is a messages window would should give further details on what went wrong. (Dirac is not part of ffmpeg btw, so we use a different encoder).
Don't use PMs for support questions.

Thank you for your response DJ, i'm so appreciate it. But I just found that error in messages window when I try to streaming and transcode with dirac codec.--Dirac is not part of ffmpeg btw, so we use a different encoder-- it's mean that i can't use dirac codec to transcode file and then streaming it in VLC, is it?!?!If it so, I will dissapointed :( cause i need streaming server that can transcode file with dirac codec. It's my final project :). But i see that vlc-1.0.0-rc3 have been support dirac encoder, decoder and for multiplexing, aren't them enough to transcode file with dirac codec??!
Do you have any suggestion or opinion about that??!!
Thank you very much :)
